Exhibiting at 17 - Michael Guo and Calculated Spontaneousness
From the 17th of August to the 23rd, the first solo exhibition of Cam Rivers Granta Club member and young artist Michael Guo, "Calculated Spontaneousness by Michael Guo: Multimedia Exploration of Transience," was held at the Fangyuan Art Museum in Beijing's 798 art district. The exhibition received recognition and strong support from numerous media outlets, artists both domestic and abroad, professors, and colleagues in the education industry.
At the exhibition, viewers were able to appreciate over thirty selected works created by Michael on various themes including "time," "self," "change," "mood," and "story." Through painting, sculpture, mixed media, and installation art among other mediums, Michael completed an exploration of his mind and thoughts. He used a unique artistic language to create a mysterious realm of transience that interpreted time's flow and continuation from multiple dimensions; self-awareness and perception; human changeability; as well as emotional fluctuations within oneself.
Under Michael's artistic processing, these profound issues are transformed into a series of coherent and independent visual stories. Through his vibrant and expressive artwork, the audience present can see his rich and colourful spiritual world. After the Crescent Print No.1 woodcut exhibition ends, Michael Guo will donate all the income obtained from this exhibition to Fuyang AIDS-affected impoverished children relief association to help poor children affected by AIDS from all over the country.
