编者按
昨天，剑桥迎来了今年冬天的第一场雪。虽是寒冷，但感觉被皑皑的白雪所覆盖的大地中，蕴含着春天的能量与希望。
我们用文字记录生活，用诗歌传递祝福，用祷告寄托希望，时刻准备着迎接光明的到来。新的生命正在孕育，新的世界正在搭建，传递好运的小天使也正要破壳而出。一切都在蓄势待发，我们只要耐心地静候佳音便可。
接下来，请英国诗人艾丹·塞门斯（Aidan Semmens）为我们朗诵他的诗歌Angel’s egg （《天使之卵》）。中文版由中国著名诗人杨克先生朗诵。黑夜再漫长，也终究抵挡不了黎明的曙光。

In the egg there is an angel
destined to take its place in architecture
on the high unseen façade of a public building
or the wooden roofwork of an ancient church.
The incubation period for an angel
is longer than the idea of a poem,
longer than for a public virus
that will be born of uncertainty, indecision.
In the egg there is another world,
of a different kind where churches are not needed,
where no one believes in angels,
where everyone tells stories and no one needs to lie.
The incubation period for a world
is longer than the idea of a story,
longer than the dreaming of angels,
longer than anyone’s need for words.
In the egg there is the word ‘angel’,
destined to take its place in the idea of a poem
in the high unseen window of a private space,
born perhaps of too much certainty and decision.

需找一处栖息
在某座大楼的隐秘角落
在古教堂的木屋顶
天使孵出的时间
比诗歌创作更长
比病毒
那不安又寡断的蔓延更长
另一个世界置于卵中
那儿不需要教堂
不需相信天使的存在
人们相互分享故事，不需谎言
一个世界孵出的时间
比故事分享更长
比对天使的幻想更长
比任何语言表达更长
“天使”一词置于卵中
需找诗歌一处栖息
在私人家园的隐秘高窗
或许出现得坚定又果断

艾丹·塞门斯（Aidan Semmens），1978年荣获剑桥大学“校长诗歌奖章”。他共出版了5部诗歌集，最新诗集《会有歌声》（There Will Be Singing）于2019年由Shearsman出版社出版。艾丹·塞门斯目前也是一名记者与编辑，在英格兰萨福克郡工作。他还运营着2013年创建的线上诗歌杂志《莫利·布鲁姆》(Molly Bloom)，并曾在1980年创建了同名纸质杂志。
Aidan Semmens, who was awarded the Cambridge University Chancellor’s Medal for an English Poem in 1978, is the author of five published volumes of poetry, the latest of which is There Will Be Singing, published in 2019 by Shearsman Books. A freelance journalist and web editor based in Suffolk, England, he also runs the online poetry magazine Molly Bloom, which he established in 2013, having founded and edited a short-lived print magazine of the same name in 1980.

杨克是当代汉语诗人中一以贯之具有个人化历史想象力和求真意志的诗人，其城市诗歌写作开启了某种意义上的主体性。30多年来，他的现代诗走在“另一条大道上，那里有广阔的情感和传统的支撑，诗人可以大踏步走在人群前面”。
在人民文学出版社和台湾华品文创有限公司等出版《杨克的诗》《有关与无关》《我说出了风的形状》等11部中文诗集、4部散文随笔集和1本文集，日本思潮社、美国俄克拉赫马大学出版社、西班牙萨拉戈萨大学出版社等出版多种外语诗集，诗文收入《中国新文学大系》《中国新诗百年大典》等400种选本。主编《中国新诗年鉴（1998-2017每个年度）》《<他们>10年诗歌选》《给孩子的100首新诗》等。
他曾获英国“剑桥徐志摩诗歌奖”、罗马尼亚出版版权总公司“杰出诗人奖”，广东鲁迅文艺奖、首届双年十佳诗人奖等外国、中国大陆和台湾文学奖十多种。在深圳美术馆等举办过诗书个展。现为《作品》文学杂志社社长总编辑，广东外语外贸大学创意写作中心主任、云山讲座教授。系中国作家协会主席团委员，中国作协诗歌委员会副主任、中国诗歌学会副会长，北京大学诗歌研究院研究员。
